Coach Insignia is the crown jewel restaurant of Downtown Detroit.  Enjoy fine dining and the spectacular views from the top of the General Motors Renaissance Center, with a magnificent 360-degree view of Detroit and an equally spectacular elevator ride to the 72nd floor.

If the panoramic views Detroit and Windsor aren’t enough for you, the food will. This Contemporary steak house also boasts a world-class wine list of over 800 wines (one of Michigan’s largest). Coach Insignia‘s contemporary and sophisticated décor, allow the views to serve as the supporting cast for the first-class fare.

The Appetizer Menu offers you selections from the Fried Lobster Corn Dog, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, and other items including a Pork Belly Egg Roll.  The meats and sides are ala carte and include items like their 14oz Veal Porterhouse, Herb Dijon Crusted Rack of Lamb and a 7 oz Center Cut Filet Mignon.  The sides consist of  Asparagus and Béarnaise, Lobster Mac and Cheese Gratin and you can always add a 5 oz. Maine Lobster Tail or Jumbo Lump Crab and Béarnaise to your order for a couple dollars more.

You have to leave room for dessert off of the Dessert Menu which has options like the Coach Hazelnut Torte (Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Sauce Honey Tuile) and the Pinot Saffron Poached Pear (Vanilla Panna Cotta, Haroseth Honey Caramel, Pinot Jelly).  There is even a Dessert Wine Menu to assist you in selecting the perfect glass of wine to accompany your dessert selection.  If you are feeling adventurous you can order the Inniskillin “Pearl” Ice Wine, from Niagra 2007.
